Mornin’ Dew My Honey

  • 1.5 oz. Wódka Vodka
  • 1 oz. Honeydew/Shishito Pepper Cordial*
  • .5 oz. Saler’s
  • .5 oz. Lime Juice


  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice and shake vigorously.
  2. Double strain into a frozen coupe glass.

*Honeydew/Shishito Pepper Cordial (Cold Maceration Method)

  1. Small dice one half of a ripe honey dew melon.
  2. Slice 6 shishito peppers.
  3. Add melon and peppers to a vacuum sealable bag.
  4. Add 500 ml cane sugar, 1 small pinch of citric acid, and 1 tbsp. of ascorbic acid.
  5. Vacuum seal bag and let sit for 24hr under refrigeration.
  6. Strain contents.
  7. Add 4 oz. Wódka Vodka to Strained Liquid.

Garnish: Sliced Shishito Peppers

Glassware: Chilled Coupe Glass

Cocktail Inspiration:

A seasonal cocktail that pairs the sweetness of honeydew melon and the bitter/spiciness of shishito peppers, all rounded out with fresh citrus and a gentian root cordial. As the Grateful Dead once sang “Walk me out in the mornin’ dew my honey
