Melitta, the inventor of pour-over coffee and the two-part filtration system used by modern drip coffee makers, offers this “Hot Caribbean” spiked coffee cocktail recipe.

Hot Caribbean


  • 1/10 cup Rum
  • 1/10 cup Curaçao Triple Sec (Alternatively Cointreau)
  • 1 cup Melitta Coffee
  • Whipped Cream
  • Grated Orange Peel (for Garnish)

Preparation: Put rum and the Curaçao Triple Sec in a decorative glass. Brew coffee and add it to the rum and Curacao. Top with whipped cream and garnish with grated orange peel.
