Cascal and Illy Issimo Seasonal Cocktails

The holiday season is rapidly approaching, and it’s time to cheers to the festivities! Whether you are looking for the perfect Thanksgiving drink or pondering what to serve at your holiday gathering, CASCAL, the foodie-favorite fermented soft drink made from all-natural juices, and illy issimo, the premium ready-to drink coffee beverage, are ready to quench your thirst! CASCAL is debuting several brand new cocktails for the upcoming holiday season including the Cranberry Carousel, Brooding Cherries, High Seas and Chocolate Rouge. illy issimo is serving up the decadently delicious Vanilla Caramel Mochaccino!

Cranberry Carousel

  • 1 ½ oz Grand Marnier
  • 2.5 oz Cascal Ripe Rouge Natural Soft Drink
  • Fresh cranberries

Method: Fill a Highball glass with ice, pour in Grand Marnier, then CASCAL. Stir gently. Garnish with fresh cranberries.

An option here is to macerate the cranberries in dark rum the night before. In doing this you can muddle the cranberries into the bottom of the glass. Also, cranberries steeped in dark rum make for a great side garnish and most appropriate for the holidays. Warm notes, simple but perfect for the holidays.

Brooding Cherries

  • 1 ¾ oz vodka
  • 4 Blood cherries
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Dash of Cherry Heering
  • Top up with CASCAL Berry Cassis Natural Soft Drink

Method: Add 3 barspoons of macerated cherries into bottom of stirring glass. Squeeze in lemon and muddle lightly. Add ice, and dash of Cherry Heering. Shake hard and strain into Highball glass filled with ice. Top with Berry Cassis and garnish with a couple of cherries and a lemon twist.

Descriptor: rich, dark, broody, refreshing, macerated blood cherries

High Seas

  • 1 1/4 oz dark rum
  • 1/2 oz Chambord
  • 2 oz Ripe Rouge Natural Soft Drink
  • Garnish with blood cherries

Method: Add rum and Chambord in a mixing glass over ice and stir, then strain into a glass over ice, top off with Ripe Rouge.
This can also be served up in a Cocktail glass if desired.

Descriptor: warming, deep complex flavors

Chocolate Rouge

  • 1 oz Frangelico
  • ¾ oz dark rum
  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz CASCAL Ripe Rouge Natural Soft Drink

Method: Add all ingredients, except the CASCAL Ripe Rouge to a mixing glass with ice and shake hard. Strain into a Cocktail glass and top off with CASCAL. Garnish with a twist of orange. Can also be served in a rocks glass over ice.

Descriptor: rich, chocolaty, nutty

Vanilla Caramel Mochaccino

  • 1 can illy issimo mochaccino
  • ½ oz caramel sauce
  • 1 oz vanilla infused vodka

Method: Fill cocktail shaker half with ice. Add vodka, caramel sauce and half can of illy issimo mochaccino. Shake vigorously and pour into martini glass straining the ice.
