RJ Mitte moved to Hollywood with his family to support his sister’s acting career and used acting at first as a way to make some friends with kids his own age being new to the city.
After some encouragement, RJ began auditioning for commercials and TV shows, and after a few jobs, landed the role for which he is best known for, Walter “Flynn” White Jr., son of Walt, the blue crystal meth cooking extraordinaire on Breaking Bad. Like Flynn, RJ also has cerebral palsy. Having a mild case of the same condition, RJ researched the character and relearned many of the challenges he faced as a young child in order to better portray the character, who had a more pronounced version of cerebral palsy. RJ fills us in on what he has been working on since the series ended and how he doesn’t let his disability stop him from his favorite downtime activity or making his favorite cocktail at his home bar.
