Chilled got to chat with this funny, ambitious star about what’s next on her horizon.
CHILLED: Tell us a bit about the projects you are working on or have coming up.
Jillian Rose Reed: Right now, I’m anxiously waiting for Awkward to return this Spring!! I’ve also been working on a documentary web series, and writing my own projects as well.
CHILLED: Can you go into detail about your new docu-series?
JRR: Sure! Every episode deals with a different Millenial social issue. We talk about things like gender identity, global warming, and the effects of social media. It’s been really fun! I’m hosting the show, so I’ve gotten to speak to a lot of really fascinating people and do some fun things!
CHILLED: With your busy schedule, what do you like to do with your down time?
JRR: I hang out with my family a lot. I also spend time writing/producing sketches with my boyfriend. And napping, I love a good nap.
CHILLED: When you go out to eat, where do you like to dine?
JRR: Honestly? I’m a sucker for chain restaurants. If you want to take me to an Outback or a PF Changs, I’ll be your friend forever.
CHILLED: What types of dishes do you usually order?
JRR: I’m addicted to buffalo wings, so usually that. Or mac and cheese. I have the appetite of a teenage boy.
CHILLED: Do you cook?
JRR: Sometimes! I’m not the best… But I can make simple dishes. I love my slow cooker.
CHILLED: What types of drinks do you order when out?
JRR: I like specialty cocktails. I’m not a huge drinker, so I like things that taste fruity. I like white wine. Oh, and Margaritas. But who doesn’t love those?
CHILLED: Do you prepare drinks at home?
JRR: I’ve been known to make some crazy themed drinks for parties!
CHILLED: Do you own a home bar?
JRR: I don’t have a bar, but I do have some wine I picked up when I went to Europe (that’s the coolest thing I own, by the way)!
CHILLED: What is your favorite drink/cocktail?
JRR: Definitely a Margarita.
CHILLED: Have you ever been a bartender?
JRR: I haven’t but I’m always really impressed by how fast they work!!
