National Bourbon Heritage Month is coming to an end, and StripSteak by Micahel Mina at Fontaintebleau Miami Beach is making the most of the time with both a signature cocktail Fig & Whistles (Whistle Pig 10 year Rye, fig, micro coriander, lemon juice, ginger beer) and a special Bourbon Whiskey Ceremony.

This ceremony gives a mini American bourbon whiskey history lesson followed by a tableside cocktail demo with Angel’s Envy bourbon where the glass is smoked with cloves and a peach is torched.

Figs & Whistles

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Whistle Pig 10 yr Rye
  • 1 Fig, Sliced
  • 3-4 Leaves Micro Coriander
  • 3/4 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Ginger Beer

Preparation: Add fig and coriander into a cocktail shaker and smash. Add remaining ingredients into cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Double strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with sliced figs and coriander leaves.
