Saturday, February 4th, 2017, marks the 101st anniversary of Peru’s iconic cocktail, the pisco sour!

A U.S./Peruvian collaboration, American, Victor Morris created the pisco sour at his bar in Lima, Peru, and it has become a classic.

Celebrate at home with Pisco Portón Mosto Verde, the finest expression of Peruvian pisco crafted in the oldest distillery in the Americas, Hacienda La Caravedo (established in Ica, Peru in 1684), by Master Distiller Johnny Schuler, the foremost pisco expert in the world.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Pisco Portón Mosto Verde
  • 1 oz. fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz. Egg Whites
  • Angostura Bitters

Preparation: Add all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high for 15 seconds, add 5 cubes of ice, and then pulse in the blender 5 times. Strain up into a coupe glass. Garnish with 3 drops of Angostura bitters.
