Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, the Australian craft-brewed favorite that is quickly gaining traction in the U.S., is pleased to announce that CEO, John McLean has been named a Queensland finalist/winner in the 2017 EY Entrepreneur of The Year awards.

The awards recognize best-in-class entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Established in 1968, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks continues to be an Australian Family owned business. John McLean took over as Chief Executive Officer ten years ago, in 2007, with a mission to grow the business internationally, while maintaining the company’s strongly entrenched family values. Since then, Bundaberg’s unique range of 12 brews have been exported to over 44 countries around the world, including the U.S., where the Ginger Beer is the number five highest selling in the nation and number one in California.

“There were 10 exceptional candidates, so to be chosen to represent QLD nationally is a very humbling experience. I’m so proud of where Bundaberg Brewed Drinks has come from, but even more excited about future opportunities for the brand.”
