La Française | Zinqué
The vodka-based cocktail at French-influenced cafe, bistro, and wine bar, Zinqué, achieves its sunny yellow color with exotic passion fruit which acts as the primary flavor with its sweet, slightly tart taste. The French-inspired cocktail is balanced with fragrant St. Germain liqueur which is made from elderflower, a small, white starry flower that blooms through the spring in France. Agave slightly adds sweetness and lime adds a citrus touch.
- 1 1/2 oz. of Grey Goose Vodka
- 1/2 oz. of St Germain Liquor
- 1/2 oz. of Lime Juice
- 1/2 oz. of Agave Syrup
- 1/2 oz. of Passion Fruit
Preparation: Combine all ingredients, shake, pour over ice and add flower garnish.
The Italiano | The Sicilian Butcher
The Sicilian Butcher’s bourbon concoction is a literal smoke show where the mixologists play with fire, bourbon whiskey, amaro, amaretto syrup and a dash of orange bitters. The smokiness and charred notes are developed with a handheld blowtorch and white oak plank. The cocktail glass tightly seals the smokey flavor and warm aroma atop the white oak plank to complete the multi-sensory experience and capture the same notes in the bourbon utilized in the libation: caramel, black pepper and vanilla.
- 2 oz. Ten High Bourbon
- 1/4 oz Averna Amaro
- 1/4 oz Amaretto Syrup
- 3 dashes Orange Bitters
Preparation: Using a blowtorch, ignite a spot on the white oak board. Place a rocks glass over the spot to smoke the inside of the glass. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and add ice. Stir for approximately 20 seconds until the drink is chilled. Place a single large cube into the now smoked glass, apply firm pressure with an ice stamp until the logo is stamped, and strain the drink over the cube. No garnish.
