4 Fortified Wine Cocktails For Winter

Elks Fizz

Ingredients:
- 3/4 oz. Sandeman Porto Founders Reserve
- 1 1/2 oz. Straight Rye Whiskey
- 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp. Superfine Sugar
- 1/2 oz. Fresh Egg White
- 1 oz. Chilled Sparkling Water
- 1 segment Fresh Pineapple
Preparation: In a mixing glass, stir sugar and lemon juice together. Add whiskey, port, lemon juice and egg white. Shake extra hard with ice and strain into a chilled small highball glass containing the sparkling water. Garnish with pineapple—perch it on the rim of the glass.
Freak Show

Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 oz. Hibiscus-infused Elyx Vodka
- 1 oz. Pimm’s
- 1/2 oz. Rainwater Madeira
- 1 1/2 oz. Bitter Lemon Soda
- 1/2 oz. Grapefruit Juice
- 1/4 oz. Lemon Juice
- 1/4 oz. Simple Syrup
- 1 Strawberry, Cut into Pieces
Preparation: Muddle a strawberry, then build ingredients in shaker. Strain over cobbled ice in a pint glass and garnish with sliced strawberries and lemon wheels.
Andalusian Buck

Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Tanqueray No. TEN
- 1 oz. Amontillado Sherry
- 1/2 oz. Lime Juice
- 1 tsp. Demerara Syrup
- Ginger Beer, to top
- Lime Wheel or Peel, for garnish
Preparation: Place all ingredients in a mixing tin and shake until chilled. Top with 2 ounces ginger beer and strain into collins glass. Rocks and lime to garnish.
Classic Martinez
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. Gin
- 1 1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth
- 1/4 oz. Maraschino Liqueur or Curaçao
- 2 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters
- Lemon Swath
Preparation: Shake ingredients together with ice and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon swath.
