Winter Worthy Cold-Weather Craft Cocktails

Although Punxsutawney Phil, our favorite furry forecaster, predicted an early spring, it is still very much winter.
Whether you work outdoors, or are just trying to get the chill out of your bones, a warming cocktail can certainly do the trick. If you are in need of some warming, or would just like to cozy up by the fire with a winter cocktail in hand, mix up one of these toasty cocktails below. Cheers to an early spring!
Workers on the Tracks

Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Bonded Rye Whiskey
- 1/2 oz. Yellow Chartreuse
- 1/2 oz. Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
- Orange Twist (for Garnish)
Preparation: Stir and strain over big rock. Garnish with an orange twist.
Hot Dope

Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 oz. Bonded Bourbon
- 1 oz. Aged Rhum Agricole
- 1 oz. Lapsang Souchong Tea
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 1 dash Chocolate Bitters
- Seated Scotch Whisky (to Top)
Preparation: Combine ingredients and serve in a pre-heated espresso mug. Top with a spritz of Peated Scotch Whisky, such as Laphroaig 10 Year.
Clyde May’s Hot Toddy

Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Clyde May’s Whiskey
- 1 oz. Gingerbread Shrub
- 1 Earl Grey Tea Bag
- Hot Water
Preparation: Add all ingredients into mug. Add hot water and steep 2 mins. Take out tea bag and discard. Squeeze one lemon wedge and garnish with cinnamon stick.
Alabama Burton Flip

Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Clyde May’s Whiskey
- 1/2 oz. Grade A Quality Maple Syrup
- 1/2 oz. Apple Cider Syrup
- 1/4 oz. Lemon Juice
- 1 Whole Egg
- Freshly Ground Nutmeg (for Garnish)
Preparation: Combine all ingredients except whiskey for dry shake until all ingredients are fully incorporated and egg has begun to froth. Add ice and whiskey, shake vigorously ten seconds. Double strain into old fashioned glass. Garnish with freshly ground nutmeg.
Classic Hot Toddy

Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Whiskey
- 1 tsp. Honey
- 2 Cloves
- 1/2 Cinnamon Stick
- 1 slice Lemon (Plus Juice)
- Boiling Water
Preparation: Put 1 tsp. of honey and a measure of whiskey in a mug or heatproof glass. Add two cloves and half a cinnamon stick then fill mug with just-off-the-boil water. Stir in a slice of lemon and a little lemon juice. Serve.
