Tropicana Atlantic City Debuts 10 North Lounge

The All-New Tropicana Atlantic City is bringing you even MORE this summer!

As part of Trop’s recent $50 million renovation, the resort debuts 10 North Lounge, an innovative venue bringing together exceptional wines, local microbrews and handcrafted artisan cocktails. 10 North is now open and located in the newly renovated North Tower casino.

The Atmosphere

10 North offers a sophisticated smoker friendly setting, which allows guests to see out over the casino floor. The space is beautifully appointed with contemporary furnishings including a double-sided fireplace, ample seating, plasma screens and two dozen bar-top slot and video poker games. Located just steps away from Il Verdi, Tropicana’s gourmet Italian restaurant, it provides the perfect setting to relax and unwind prior to dinner or a show.

The Games

Among the 24 bar-top slot machines are video reel games like Double Bucks and Texas Tea. Video Poker titles include Ultimate X Poker, Triple Play Poker, Super Times Pay, and Spin Poker.

The Wines

Following one of the hottest new green trends in the beverage industry, 10 North’s wines will be delivered via a wine-on-tap system which not only preserves wine flavor, but also eliminates waste in packaging. Tropicana’s management team has hand selected the high-end wine offerings at 10 North, which include Smith & Hook Cabernet Sauvignon, Hahn Chardonnay, Coppola Presents Pinot Grigio and 10 Span Pinot Noir, along with a Simi Sauvignon Blanc blend from Simi Winery in Sonoma County and a Glera Prosecco from Veneto, Italy.

The Beers

Beer fans are also well taken care of at 10 North Lounge, where draft beer selections include Stella Artois and some of New Jersey’s favorite microbrews including Flying Fish Seasonal from
Somerdale, Steelmantown Porter from Tuckahoe Brewing Company, and What the Butler Saw, a whitbier style beer from Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing in Cherry Hill. In a unique twist, draft beers are garnished with a pretzel.

The Cocktails

The cocktail menu offers 16 exciting concoctions that feature fresh ingredients and purees and their own unique garnishes. In place of traditional sour mix, the bar staff at 10 North creates their signature cocktails with fresh lime and sugar. Taste the difference when you order a “Bad Idea” made with Espolon Blanco Tequila, Lillet, lime juice, Green Chartreuse and simple syrup. Or sample the “Smoked Pineapple Rum Rita” featuring Appleton VX Rum, Vicio Mezcal, Cointreau, lime juice, simple syrup and pineapple juice garnished with a grilled pineapple and lime.

The Real McCoy Rum

Those who prefer their liquors on the dark side will find plenty of attention is paid to rich, mature spirits at 10 North Lounge. Among the interesting finds here is The Real McCoy Rum. This spirt takes its name from Bill McCoy, the pioneer rum runner of the prohibition era who became a household name for selling only the best quality pure and unadulterated spirits known as “The Real McCoy.” The Real McCoy Rum is small-batch crafted in heavy char American oak bourbon barrels. It’s been honored with 35 awards including “World’s Best White Rum” and “Best Aged Rum in America.” 10 North is a great place to try it straight up or in a cocktail like the “Cucumber Basil Smash” mixed with simple syrup, cucumber slices basil leaves and club soda.

The Signature Tropicana Patrón

The new 10 North Lounge is also a great spot to sample Tropicana’s exclusive blend of aged Patrón tequila. Through an agreement with renowned tequila brand Patrón Spirits and their Patrón Barrel Select program, Tropicana selected a limited-edition Patron Repasado aged in Jalisco, Mexico for Tropicana guests. With flavors of agave, lemon tea, vanilla, wood, and some citrus, it is an ideal summer blend that will never be exactly duplicated again. Tropicana’s tequila was aged in a barrel made of American Oak and French Limousine Oak, and that barrel is on display at 10 North. Try Tropicana’s signature Patrón on its own or in a “Perfect Margarita” with Patrón Citronge Orange Liqueur and lime juice.

10 North Lounge will be open 24 hours with the exception of Wednesday morning, when it will close from 2am 10am.
