The Konga Shaker Returns
By Chilled Magazine
Monkey Shoulder, the mischievous malt whisky that’s made for mixing, is creating a revolution in cocktail shaking and putting the fun back in bartending fundamentals.
Monkey Shoulder has remastered the classic 1930’s Konga Shaker that was unveiled to an eager crowd of bartenders at New York City’s Attaboy in conjunction with releases in London and Paris.
A must-have item for all the best bars this summer, the redesigned Konga Shaker will be a bartender’s best friend providing bartender theater and the ability to shake five drinks at once.
The Konga Shaker features a screw top, bakelite handles, smart new locking mechanisms, holds 1.5 liters (approx. 50 ounces) and is made of food-safe stainless steel.
The two-handled Konga Shaker, meant to “rotate and roll” to mix cocktails, hasn’t been made in 30 years and now, thanks to Monkey Shoulder, the shaker will return to bartender theater across the country. The shakers will officially be released following Tales of the Cocktail this summer.
