Tequila Tipples for Mexican Independence Day

Each year on September 16th, Mexico celebrates its independence with plenty of festive parades, parties, food and, of course, tequila!
Make a toast to Mexico’s Independence by mixing up one of these delicious tequila tipples. Salud!
Mexican Martini

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. Lime Juice
- 1 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
- 3 oz. Tequila
- 1/2 oz. Olive Juice
- Olives
Preparation: Shake all ingredients with ice, pour into martini glass, garnish with olives and enjoy!
Agua Verde (Margarita)
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. Milagro Silver
- 1/4 oz. Avocado
- 3 Cucumber Slices
- 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- 3/4 oz. Agave Nectar
- Lime Wheel (for Garnish)
Preparation: Combine ingredients and blend with one cup of ice. Pour into a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
In Love with Coconut
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. Milagro Silver
- 1/2 oz. Ancho Reyes
- 3/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- 1/2 oz. Coconut Syrup (Monin)
- 2 oz. Ginger Beer (to Top)
- Toasted Coconut (for Garnish)
Preparation: Combine all ingredients (except ginger beer) in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until cold. Strain into a coconut rimmed rocks glass over fresh ice, top with ginger beer and enjoy.
The Freshest Sangria
Ingredients:
- 4 oz. Milagro Silver
- 4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- 4 oz. Grapefruit Juice
- 8 oz. Grenadine
- 3 Serrano Peppers
Preparation: In four shooter glasses, pour Milagro Silver neat. Cut serrano peppers in half and remove veins, seeds and stems. Blend the halves with remaining ingredients and allow this pepper infusion to steep for 2-3 hours. Strain and pour into four separate shooter glasses.
The Marguerite
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. 1800 Reposado
- 1 oz. Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
- 1/2 oz. Fino Sherry
- 1/2 oz. Maraschino Liqueur
- Soda Water (to Top)
- Grapefruit Twist (for Garnish)
Preparation: Shake all ingredients (except soda water) with ice and strain into an ice-filled Old Fashioned glass. Top with soda water and garnish with a grapefruit twist.
