Purple Heart Wines, a collaboration between C. Mondavi & Family and the Purple Heart Foundation, an organization which supports veterans in need, is proud to announce a donation to fund Foundation support for Veterans afflicted by the recent wine country wildfires in Northern California.

The Purple Heart Foundation will be funneling 100% of this $20,000 donation received from Purple Heart Wines directly to Veterans impacted by the devastating wildfires that occurred in Napa and Sonoma County in October 2017. The Purple Heart Foundation is working with local Purple Heart chapters to channel relief efforts to nine veterans and their families whose homes and possessions were completely destroyed by the wildfires. This donation will help them pick up the pieces and begin anew.

On the eve of Veterans Day, Purple Heart Wines proprietor Marc Mondavi was joined by Purple Heart Wines winemaker-and Air Force veteran-John Moynier, and Bill Hutton, Senior Vice President of the Purple Heart Foundation, to present a $20,000 check towards this timely relief effort.

“When we learned that a number of local veterans including several Purple Heart recipients were caught up in the recent tragedy which swept through our region, we immediately reached out to our partners at the Purple Heart Foundation to try and offer some relief to these cherished members of our community.”
