The Perfect Holiday Eggnog Recipe with Drambuie

The holidays are right around the corner and yearly traditions are in full swing; spending time with friends and family, attending and hosting holiday celebrations, and indulging in delicious eggnog.

December 24th is National Eggnog Day and celebrated mixologist and National Drambuie Brand Ambassador, Claire Needham has created a new twist on a classic tradition with a delicious Scottish Eggnog recipe.

Drambuie is made from a delightful combination of scotch whisky, heathered honey, herbs, and spices, making it the perfect addition to your favorite holiday cocktail.

Mix up this delicious eggnog recipe:

Drambuie Scottish Eggnog

Ingredients

  • 4 Egg Yolks
  • 4 Egg Whites
  • 1 pint Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 12 parts Drambuie
  • 2 dash Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Freshly Grated Nutmeg
  • Optional: 4 parts of Glenfiddich 12 Year Old if you’d like more of a kick

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, beat the egg yolks until the color lightens.
  2. Add the Drambuie, milk, cream, nutmeg, and vanilla.
  3. Place the egg whites in a bowl and beat into stiff peaks.
  4. Whisk the egg whites into the mixture.
  5. Chill in the fridge one, two, or three days.
  6. Serve in a punch bowl and sprinkle with grated nutmeg.
