West Village gem, Wallflower, is mixing up a new cocktail, Cafe Mendoza.
It is a delicious, creamy winter drink developed by head bartender, James Lombardino. It has deep flavors of plum and raisin from the brandy and is rounded out nicely with hints of coffee – the perfect cocktail to sip your cold weather sorrows away. Mix one up for yourself.
Wallflower’s Cafe Mendoza
- 1 1/2 oz. Cardinal Mendoza
- 1/2 oz. Demerara
- 1/2 oz. Cream
- 1/4 oz. Branca Menta
- 1/4 oz. Bittermens New Orleans Coffee Liqueur
- Whole Egg
- Cocoa Powder, for Garnish
Preparation: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a wine glass. Top with cocoa powder.
