Where You Bartend: Sycamore Den in San Diego, CA. A 1970s inspired cocktail lounge. I’m the cocktail curator and develop the seasonally rotating cocktail menu which offers a contemporary take on the classic cocktails of the decade.
How Many Years Bartending: I have been in the bartending scene for 13 years, and have had the opportunity to work and learn from some amazing tenders such as Sam Ross and Phil Ward.
Favorite Cocktail: Anything with Suntory’s Hakushu in it – an herbal and gently smokey single malt whiskey.
Favorite Beer: Allagash Curieux, a delicious 11% ABV Tripel that has been aged in Jim Beam bourbon barrels for 8 weeks and then blended back with fresh Tripel. Giving it soft notes of coconut and vanilla with delicious hints of bourbon.
Favorite Shot: Old Blowhard shaken with fireball and prune juice- trust me, it’s good.
Favorite Bar In The World To Have A Drink: Potato Head in Bali. What could go wrong when drinking a beautiful cocktail in a beautiful city – nothing.
