Fort Point Beer Company Launches Cans

By Chilled Magazine

Fort Point Beer Company announced the expansion of its packaged product line with 12 ounce cans. Fort Point favorites KSA, Park, Villager and Westfalia are now available in six packs at select retailers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

“We are excited to expand the reach of our product and the Fort Point brand. Cans will offer customers the opportunity to try different Fort Point styles and to take home a piece of our brewery.”
– Co-Founder, Justin Catalana

Fort Point’s decision to market with cans was strategic: “Not only do cans create an eco-friendly and UV resistant container,” said Catalana, “but the lightweight, airtight material also allows our customers the opportunity to enjoy fresh Fort Point beer on the go, serving an active Bay Area lifestyle.”

In its commitment to San Francisco craftsmanship, Fort Point commissioned local design firm Manual Creative to create the can’s unique artwork. As a nod to the company’s roots in the Presidio, elements of San Francisco’s culture and spirit are woven into the distinctive designs.

Six packs of all four styles are available at retail locations across San Francisco, as well as throughout the greater Bay Area. Cans will also be available at Fort Point’s new location in San Francisco’s Ferry Building Marketplace, opening at the end of this year.

About Fort Point Beer Company
Fort Point Beer Company was founded in 2014 by brothers Tyler and Justin Catalana in the Presidio of San Francisco. The brewery resides in a historic Presidio building that was formerly used as an Army motor pool. Being situated in this iconic landscape reinforces our pride in San Francisco and in the beer we brew. We create balanced, thoughtful beers that reference traditional styles but are by no means bound to them. We want our beers to tell a story, inspire an idea, and be thoroughly enjoyable.
