Chilled Drink of the Week: Strawberry Fennel

Albert Trummer, the man behind Apotheke and Theater Bars in NYC has taken his talents to South Beach, with his latest creation, Drawing Room Bar and Lounge, inside the Sherborne Wyndham Grand South Beach Hotel.

Specializing in medicine craft cocktails highlighting herbal elixirs he offers his South Beach guest highly sought after cocktail prescriptions. Give one of his handmade secret potions a mix.

Strawberry Fennel

Ingredients:

• 2 oz. Vodka
• 1 oz. Elixir No. 5 (Albert’s House Bitters)
• 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
• 1 tsp. Brown Sugar
• 5 Strawberries
• 1 Slice Fennel

Preparation: Muddle strawberries and fennel in a rocks glass, add other ingredients and stir gently. Add sprig of fennel for garnish and add a big ice cube.
