Drink Like A Chicagoan

By Chilled Magazine

The summer sun is heating up the Windy City, which only means one thing – enjoying a cool cocktail on a sun drenched patio.

The Tortoise Club located in Chicago’s iconic River North neighborhood has mastered the new concoction known as the Chicagoan.

Created by Tortoise Club mixologist Kal Huettl, the Chicagoan combines light, summery tastes with strong and bold undertones, guests can practically taste the city in every sip. It all starts with locally distilled Koval Bourbon, added with bright and fragrant flavors of St. Germain. It also features house-made All Spice, Onion and Brown Sugar syrup for a savory and sweet taste. To further balance the flavors, taste the Letherbee’s Besk and grapefruit bitters, ultimately creating a light and summery, yet strong and bold drink… just like The Windy City itself.
