As a long-time staple of The Price is Right for the last 12 years, stunning model and actress Gwendolyn Osborne-Smith said good-bye to the iconic series on October 17th, 2017.
Forever grateful to the show that has helped her leap into the homes and hearts of so many, Gwendolyn is excited to dive full force into her new role as COO at Smith Entertainment Group, a production company she runs alongside husband and Emmy Award winning broadcaster and former NBA player Kenny Smith.
Chilled caught up with Gwendolyn to find out what she’s been up to post The Price is Right. We are jealous of her downtime ritual!
Tell us a bit about the projects you are working on.
Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) is excited to be working on aspiring projects! We are working on non-scripted and scripted shows that include sports, lifestyle and competition.
With your busy schedule, what do you like to do with your downtime?
I love to escape to the beach when I have free time. My mum is Jamaican so the island gal in me loves a good beach day to unwind, relax and read a good book.
When you go out to eat, where do you like to dine?
Since I left The Price is Right, I’ve been indulging a little lately. There’s a great breakfast spot, and they have these amazing apple crumble pancakes that I can’t say no to. I also love the lobster rolls at Katsuya, and sometimes I’m in the mood for a shrimp fettucine alfredo pasta dish.
What types of dishes do you usually order?
It depends on the mood I’m in. I love Jamaican food, but I do try to stay healthy and balanced. However, sometimes I will go for the short ribs!
Do you cook?
I do! Not every night but after years with my first daughter trying out my cooking and being very honest with me, I’m able to pull together a few good dishes. I’m also quite experimental with whatever may be in the fridge. I’ll just pull a dish together and make it work.
What types of drinks do you order when out?
I’m a light and fruity type of drinker, or I love a great glass of red wine.
Do you prepare drinks at home?
No, I don’t attempt bartending! I’m sure that’s one thing I’m horrible at.
Do you own a home bar?
We do have a bar in the movie room which gets used mostly by my friends who used to be bartenders and I can sit and enjoy!
What is your home bar stocked with?
Some red wines and usually there’s a Captain Morgan Rum since I will pour myself a rum and coke every now and then. I also love St-Germain Elderflower liqueur.
What is your favorite drink/cocktail?
Rum and coke.
Have you ever been a bartender?
I have not, but I have been a waitress.
