Chillin’ with Beau Mirchoff

Making a name for himself as the next big thing in the entertainment industry, Beau Mirchoff not only has striking good looks, washboard abs and distinctly-colored eyes he also has buckets of sex appeal and an edgy personality only a bartender could relate to.

CHILLED: Tell us a bit about the projects you have coming up.

Beau Mirchoff: I just shot a pilot for NBC called Good Fortune. It’s a half hour multi-camera comedy about a group of friends in Los Angeles. I am also doing a production of Theresa Rebeck’s play The Understudy – opening in June. Ticket information will be available via my social media soon.

CHILLED: With your busy schedule, what do you like to do with your down time?

BM: I love to watch movies, read, garden, play music, write, eat food, travel, scuba dive, play with my dog.

CHILLED: When you go out to eat, where do you like to dine?

BM: I’m always trying new places! Lately I can’t get enough of Stout Burger, and by “lately” I mean always.

CHILLED: What types of dishes do you usually order?

BM: All of them. I do not discriminate. I have yet to find a food I do not enjoy.

CHILLED: Do you cook?

BM: I cook simple dishes. I have a little vegetable and herb garden which helps. A little fresh basil goes a long way.

CHILLED: What types of drinks do you order when out?

BM: I love beer. There are so many great micro-brews nowadays; too many to choose! But how can you beat a good bottle of wine? Maybe by providing me with a nice glass of scotch?

CHILLED: Do you prepare drinks at home?

BM: Not typically. Though I have some fixings if one is so inclined.

CHILLED: Do you own a home bar?

BM: The short answer is no. I thought about making one but it’s healthier to have the liquor out of sight, if ya know what I mean. But I have a liquor cabinet….with plenty of Scotch, Rye, and Bourbon. I also always have a few bottles of wine on hand as well as some beers.

CHILLED: What’s your favorite drink/cocktail?

BM: Johnny Black, rocks is my go to. Though I love a good Manhattan or Old Fashion. And sometimes, when the mood is right, I’ll order a Gin Martini.

CHILLED: Have you ever been a bartender?

BM: No, but I’ve bar-backed. I’ve also waited tables and worked in a kitchen.
