Tell us about the projects you are working.
I have four projects in the can right now. I did season four of the Peabody Award winning SUNDANCE series, “Rectify,” this is one not to miss. I also produced an exciting urban thriller feature film, The Last Revolutionary, written by multiple NAACP award winning writer Levy Lee Simon, about two former revolutionaries whose world is turned upside down when dirt from their past rears its head in the present. We were able to get Grammy Award nominee Geri Allen to do the score. That’s dropping December 2016. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare drops November 4TH 2016, that’s a real thrill ride. Finally, I’m working on season 3 of Bosch, AMAZON’s #1 show. That drops in March 2017.
With your busy schedule, what do you like to do with your down time?
When you go out to eat, where do you like to dine?
There’s a beautiful little spot right on the Santa Monica beach called Perry’s. They have clean, tasty, organic food, and you can sit on the sand and watch the sunset while you eat. Sometimes the simplest pleasures are the ones you treasure most.
What types of dishes do you usually order?
I’m simple. I like a nice grilled salmon and an exotic salad, especially in the evening. I like to eat light once the sun goes down.
Do you cook?
I do but only when I’m not so busy, which isn’t often these days. I find that the emotion you put in your preparation stays with the meal. So when I cook, I like to be present and grateful all the way through the process.
What types of drinks do you order when out?
I’m a red wine guy myself. Red Zinfandel is my favorite grape. It tends to be very fruit-forward but bold enough to stand up to most spices. That, and rack of lamb. As the Italians say, MMMMWWAAAAH! Sometimes you just gotta do it!
Do you prepare drinks at home?
I do indeed. In the summer, I like to do something light: White wine and San Pellegrino Limonata. In the cooler months, I prefer Jameson with a splash of warm coconut water. I tend toward the tropical.
What is your home bar stocked with?
Belvedere, Jameson, Hendricks, Patron Anejo, and Jack. You can tell a lot about a man by what he serves his friends.
What is your favorite cocktail?
Jameson/Rocks. It’s like liquid caramel.
Have you ever been a bartender?
No, but I’ve bought a lot of lady’s drinks… so I’m more of a middleman.
