Chilled Drink of the Week: The Tamarind Fizz

Mix up this new cocktail from NOLET’S Silver Gin, featured on the menu at FIFTY Restaurant and Bar in the West Village, New York City. It is the perfect blend of tropical spices infused with a crisp hint of floral NOLET’S.
The Tamarind Fizz
FIFTY Restaurant and Bar, West Village, NYC
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. NOLETS Silver Gin
- 1 1/2 oz. of Tamarind Reduction*
- 1/2 Benedictine
- 1/4 Yellow Chartreuse
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
- 1 Egg White
Preparation: Dry shake (Shake without ice) ingredients in a tin. Then add ice and shake again. Pour into a collins glass filled with approx 1 1/2 oz. of club soda. Let it rest for 60 seconds in the fridge. Then top with more club soda until the foam rises a little above the glass. Grate cinnamon for garnish.
*Tamarind Reduction
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. Tamarind Paste
- 1 qt. Water
- 6 Cinnamon Sticks
- 4 Cloves
Preparation: Reduce over medium high heat for about an hour, with occasional stirring.
