Chilled Drink of the Week: Me & Julio Down by the Rhubarb

Mix up this variation of a French 75 by Nautical American Gin, using fresh Rhubarb-Vanilla Bean Syrup, which gives it a sweet, tart spin and delicious flavor.
Me & Julio Down by the Rhubarb
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Nautical American Gin
- 3/4 oz. Lemon Juice
- 3/4 oz. Rhubarb-Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup*
- 2 oz. Champagne or Sparkling Wine
Preparation: Mix Nautical Gin, lemon juice and Rhubarb-Vanilla Bean Syrup in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into coupe glass, top with champagne. Garnish with strawberry and/or ribbon rhubarb.
*Rhubarb-Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Chopped Rhubarb
- 1 Vanilla Bean Sliced Down Middle
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
Preparation: Place all ingredients in a sauce pan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and keep on heat until rhubarb is soft. Remove from heat, let cool and then strain into glass container.
