Ardbeg Balanced Cocktail Competition


The Smoked Orange

  • 1.5 oz. Ardebeg Ten Year Islay Scotch
  • .5 oz. Grand Marnier
  • .75 oz Honey water (50/50 solution of Honey and Water)
  • .25 oz fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 Dashes Orange bitters
  • 1 one inch wide strip of Orange Peel


In a Boston shaker add all ingredients except the Orange Bitters and Orange Peel, Shake vigorously, quite vigorously, strain into a snifter. Add 2 dashes of Orange Bitters, gently warm the skin side of the Orange Peel, squeeze the orange oils into the cocktail, garnish with the Peel. Enjoy! Rinse and Re”peat”!!
