Delicato Family Vineyards has announced the launch of Juxtapôz, a discerning, new luxury red wine blend from California’s decorated North Coast.

jux-bottleCrafted by Napa Valley winemaker John Killebrew, Juxtapôz is a provocative exhibition of depth, flavor and intrigue. The wine’s label features the progressive artwork of emerging Spanish artist, Gabriel Moreno. “A true original, Juxtapôz is a professional and personal milestone that I am especially proud to be a part of” said John Killebrew, Juxtapôz Winemaker. “As an art minor, I have always been fascinated by the individual elements that work together to achieve a finished piece, whether it’s a painting or a bottle of wine. Juxtapôz is the ultimate showcase of what can happen when great individual components work together to create something entirely new and unexpected.”

The contrasting red grape varieties and growing regions in the North Coast adds layers of dimension and complexity to the finished wine. The inaugural 2012 vintage features a blend of Syrah, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, with more than 76 percent of the grapes hailing from Napa Valley. The Juxtapôz label, an original piece of art commissioned by Barcelona native, Gabriel Moreno, channels Killebrew’s approach to achieving depth and texture in the wine by using fine lines and vibrant color to juxtapose two views of one woman, interlaced to reveal the many layers of her personality.
