About the Fernet-Branca Barback Games NYC Event

NEW YORK, get ready for the only event of its kind: the Fernet-Branca Barback Games, which pits barbacks against each other in a competition of skill and endurance for the title of Best Barback In The Country. What began as a single-market event in San Francisco four years ago has expanded into San Diego, Boston, New York with national finals in San Francisco for 2012. Timed events at the competition include ice bucket relay, beer restocking, keg changing, and bottle relay.
And it’s not just about the games-our NEW YORK event will feature local favorites THE DEATH SET and NINJASONIK plus other live music talent, eye-catching performances, and a panel of industry judges to keep the crowd excited. This remarkable event is Fernet-Branca’s salute to the men and women who are the backbone of any working bar in a fun and engaging environment that will inspire industry and consumer-types alike.
To turn things up a notch, we’ve added a Barback Games Video Contest to give perspective participants an edge on the competition. By submitting a video that talks about their love for their bar, the glory in the competition and of course, Fernet-Branca, contestants give themselves an edge on the competition.
