TY KU & Aspen Magazine Present: An Extraordinary Evening with CeeLo Green

By Chilled Magazine

WHAT: In honor of Aspen Food & Wine Classic, TY KU Premium Sake & Spirits and the brand’s new co-owner and partner, CeeLo Green, hosted an Extraordinary evening on Friday June 15th at the Hyatt Grand Aspen. Guests were the first to taste the brand’s newly released TY KU Coconut Nigori, the fourth sake to enter their premium portfolio of award-winning beverages, while mingling poolside with the Grammy award winning artist and international music icon himself.

WHEN: Friday, June 15th. 5:30-8pm

WHERE: Hyatt Grand Aspen – Poolside. Aspen, CO

WHO: Other guests included Gipp from the Goodie Mob, chef Ming Tsai, chef and TV personality Andrew Zimmern, chef Rick Bayless, mixologist Francesco Lafranconi, and many more.

CeeLo was in Aspen promoting TY KU Sake & Spirits, a brand he co-owns and is heavily involved with on a day-to-day basis. He partied and mixed and mingled with guests while enjoying the new TY KU Coconut Sake. The party was overcapacity but CeeLo instructed the team to keep the low calorie and gluten free TY KU Sake drinks flowing because he said, “the more the merrier!” The entrepreneur and host graciously posed for pictures with all the guests for almost 2 hours straight not turning one eager fan away.

Trying to be modest, CeeLo requested a name tag at the event. The staff laughed and wrote “The Lady Killer,” on the name sticker which he wore the whole time. Known for his lady killer ways, CeeLo was very affectionate with girlfriend Shaneeka James, not leaving her side for a second! However, proud of his nickname, CeeLo named his favorite TY KU concoction after himself – The Lady Killer – TY KU Citrus Liqueur, Coconut Rum and Pineapple Juice.

About TY KU

On the forefront of bringing Asian spirits stateside, TY KU has made it their mission to educate American consumers on the history and traditions of these spirits and incorporate them into mainstream American cocktail culture. TY KU’s sakes combine the purest all-natural ingredients with no added sugars, preservatives, is free of gluten and sulfites and represents the top 5-15% grades of sakes with their Junmai to Junmai Daiginjo sakes. It is no surprise that its refined collection of sakes have also become the most awarded portfolio, winning prestigious titles and accolades. On the spirits side, TY KU has been introducing a “wiser way to drink” with their all-natural and inherently low calorie asian spirits.

Starting with a Citrus Liqueur, created with a blend of soju and superfruits, they took the sugar, additives and sulfites out of classic cocktails with their under 100 calorie concoctions which quickly caught the attention of celebrities, chefs, mixologists and restaurants alike. TY KU has continued to bring health-minded spirits stateside with TY KU Soju, a low calorie Asian “vodka” like spirit, with only 68 calories per serving compared with vodka’s 115 and flavored vodka’s 140 calories.

TY KU also just announced that CeeLo Green has joined the renowned beverage brand as co-owner. The international music superstar will play a creative role for TY KU, consulting as a partner on all of the brands’ innovative lifestyle marketing programs. CeeLo will also serve as the brands’ spokesperson, educating sake and spirits fans on how to ‘Drink Extraordinarily’.
